Understanding the costs…
There are three different costs to consider as a prospective holiday homeowner:
- The cost of the lodge itself
- The annual site fees to cover the cost of your lodge on our park
- The annual running costs for amenities, holiday rates and maintenance to run your lodge
Our team take time to explain the expenditure, so you know exactly what you’re paying and when. Galtres Sublet Team offer the opportunity to sublet your lodge on your behalf when not in use to help cover any fees above.
3
Reserving your dream lodge…
You’ve found it! Your dream lodge is selected, and you have picked everything from the cushions to the decking, the kids love the hot tub and you’re excited to relax in one of our rattan lazy boy recliners! Now it’s time to select your plot.
It’s time to visit Ashdown Retreat our beautiful first phase development with 50 plots that have a mixture of South facing bases, views over the Galtres woods and views over the stunning Yorkshire countryside.
4
Reservation journey…
To reserve any lodge/plot you pay a £5,000 holding deposit, you have a statuary 14-day cooling off period from the date of payment.
Our team will take time to write down everything that has been agreed during the sales negotiations ensuring you leave the park knowing the exact package you’ve decided upon.
At this point we also send you a copy of the license agreement and park rules.
5
Road to handover…
Each client has differing completion dates depending on their personal circumstances. Once we have an agreed completion date the Galtres Development team will site your lodge on your chosen plot, have your decking built, install the lodge electric and water, and run gas safety tests.
Our team stay in contact with you throughout the road to handover giving updates and helping answer any further questions you may have.
All funds to complete the deal are paid prior to completion date.
6
Completion date…
The big day has arrived! Handover and ownership of your new lodge.
Your handover meeting with the general manager will consist of signing the license agreement and park rules. After the paperwork is signed (and photos taken!) you then have a welcome tour of your brand-new lodge.
The general manager will show you the fundamentals of your lodge, how the gas boiler works and how to use the various appliances.
